Each year from 1975-2005 Nicholas Nixon took one photograph of his wife and her three sisters culminating in the 31 photograph series, 'The Brown Sisters'.
In 2007 photographer Dawoud Bey traveled to high schools around the country and asked teenagers to allow him to take their portraits. The photographs were later complied into a book titled 'Class Pictures'. The portraits are shown accompanying written text that each teen wrote about themselves.
